Police arrested five alleged drug dealers along with 18,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets and seized a truck from Dhaka city’s Gabtali area on Thursday.
The arrestees are Nurul Amin, 35, Abdul Aziz, 27, driver Rafiq Uddin, 31, Gias Uddin, 37 and Abdur Shukur, 32.
Police also seized a truck from their possession from Gabtali Mazar Road area at around 10:15 pm.
During preliminary interrogation, the arrestees confessed they have brought yaba from Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar in a specially built box hidden under the truck, reports BSS.
A case was lodged against the arrestees with Darus Salam Police Station.
