BGB arrests man with Indian rupee in Benapole

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a man along with 10 lakh Indian rupee from Gatipara border area in Sadar Upazila in Jashore on Wednesday afternoon.

The arrestee is Abdul Samad, 40, son of Habibur Rahman of Goyra village in Benapole.

Lt Colonel Ariful Haque, commanding officer of 49 BGB Battalion, said acting to a tip-off a team of BGB conducted a drive in Gatipara border area and arrested Abdul along with the Rupees, reports UNB.

Later, the arrestee was handed over to Benapole Port Police Station, he added.
