The Covid-19 deaths reached 6,004 in Bangladesh on Wednesday with 21 new fatalities, according to official data.
Besides, some cases of 1,517 fresh infection were recorded in the last 24 hours, pushing the total case count to 414,164, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
As many as 1,910 patients recovered from the Covid-19 during the 24-hour period, the release added, saying that the recovery rate rose to 80.09 per cent while the death rate remained at 1.45 per cent.
Among the deceased, 17 were men and 4 were women.
The country tested a total of 13,914 samples at its 114 authorised labs during the period, bringing the total number of samples tested to over 2.3 million, according to the DGHS release.
