A youth was killed as a bus hit a motorbike at Signboard on Dhaka-Narayanganj road in Narayanganj on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Noor Mohammad Russel, 20, son of Gias Uddin of Siddhirganj area, reports UNB.
Quoting locals, Fatullah Model Police Station's Officer-in-Charge Aslam Hossain said a bus of Bandhon Paribahan hit Russel's motorbike at 10:00 pm in the area, leaving him dead on the spot.
Angered by the accident, locals blocked Dhaka-Sylhet and Dhaka-Chattogram highways for half an hour.
Meanwhile, agitated people set the killer bus and another bus of Bandhon Paribahan on fire following the accident.
The driver managed to flee the scene, the OC added.
