Worker dies in Chattogram hotel fire

A worker died after a fire broke out at Four Season Sonali hotel in Foy's Lake area at Khulshi in Chattogram on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Khokon Dutta, 53, of Anwara Upazila.

Agrabad Fire Station's Deputy Director Jashim Uddin said the locals called police after seeing smoke coming out of a room where Khokon was sleeping, UNB reported.

After being informed by police, a fire service team rushed to the spot and recovered his body.

The body was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy, he added.

The cause of fire could not be known yet.
