At least two people were killed while another one was injured in a head-on collision between two covered vans on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Mirsarai upazila early Wednesday.
One of the deceased has been identified as Kabir Hossain, 40, a driver of a covered van while the identity of other could not be known yet.
Inspector Rabiul Azam Robin of Mirsarai Fire Service and Civil Defence said the accident took place around 3:30am when two covered vans collided head-on, leaving two dead on the spot.
A man identified as Goutam was injured in the accident and taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, according to a UNB report.
