Three children drowned in a pond at Kanai Madari under Chandanish upazila in Chattogram on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Shifatul Islam Abir, 6, son of Helal Uddin, Mohamamd Ifti, 4, and Mohammad Arial, 4, son of Joynal Abedin.
Alauddin, assistant sub-inspector of Chattogram Medical College and Hospital police outpost, said the three children slipped into the pond while playing and drowned.
Later, they were taken to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital. But the on-duty doctors declared them dead, reports UNB.
