Road crashes leave two dead in Rajshahi

Two people, including an octogenarian woman were killed in two separate road crashes in Rajshahi district on Friday.

The victims were identified as Rahima Begum, 80, and Akbar Ali, 48, reports BSS.

Quoting locals’ police said Rahima Begum died on the spot when a trolley knocked her down at Pathakata area under Tanore upazila in the district at around 7:30 am.

In the second accident, Akbar Ali sustained grievous injuries when a microbus dashed his bicycle at Keshorehat area under Mohanpur upazila at around 9:00 am.

He was immediately rushed to Upazila Health Complex where the attending doctors declared him dead, said Abul Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Mohanpur Police Station.
