RO plant starts operation in Tungipara

GOPALGANJ, Mar 14: Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant under village water supply project at Tungipara in the district has started safe drinking water supply among 500 families recently.

According to the Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE), Gopalganj official sources, the plant is able to supply about 1,500 litre of safe drinking water per hour and the beneficiary families pay Tk 0.50 for a litre. 

On April 16, 2017 M/s Monalisa constructed the plant under the supervision of DPHE, Gopalganj at a cost of Tk 3.11 million, sources said.

Hasan Sikder of Gimadanga under Tungipara upazila said, "We get safe drinking water from the plant. Authority should set up more plants like to other areas across the country."
