Police recover three bodies in Sirajganj, Cox’s Bazar

Three youths were found dead in Sirajganj and Cox's Bazar districts on Thursday.

In Sirajganj, police recovered the decomposed bodies of two young men from the Phuljor River in Ghatina Bridge area in Ullapara upazila.

The deceased were identified as Israfil, 18, the only son of Yousub Ali of Darikharbana in Rajshahi city, and Russel, 30, son of Insaf Ali of Barkatpur village in Charghat upazila of Rajshahi.

Locals spotted the bodies under the bridge and informed it to police who recovered the bodies in the afternoon, reports UNB.

Dewan Koushik Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Ullapara Police Station, said miscreants might have killed them in another place and dumped the bodies here 25/26 days ago.

The bodies bore several injury marks, the OC said, adding that the bodies were handed over the families following post-mortem at Sirajganj General Hospital on Friday noon.

In Cox's Bazar, Mohammad Helal, 18, son of Jalal Ahmed of Kachubunia village in Teknaf upazila, was found dead at Sabrang Hariakhali in the upazila on the same day.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to local hospital morgue.
