Police recover 32 ‘wartime’ grenades from Khulna

Police recovered 32 abandoned grenades from a fish enclosure at Sonadala village in Paikgachha upazila of Khulna district on Sunday.

A group of workers spotted some bomb like objects while they were excavating a pond inside the enclosure of Kamar Molla of the village around 10:30 am and informed police.

On information, police recovered 32 grenades from the spot, said officer-in-charge of Laikgachha Police Station Emdadul Sheikh Molla.

The grenades might have been dumped during Liberation War in 1971, he added, reports UNB.
