PEC examinee dies in Chattogram road crash

A Primary Education Completion (PEC) examinee was killed and a minor girl injured in a collision between a human hauler and a CNG-run autorickshaw in Port Colony area of Chattogram on Monday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sumona Akhter, 12, according to a news agency report.

Assistant sub-inspector Alauddin of Chittagong Medical College Hospital police outpost, said the autorickshaw collided with the human hauler (locally named as Tomtom) around 9:00am, leaving Sumona and minor girl Pinky Akhter critically injured.

Later, they were rushed to the hospital where doctors declared Sumona dead.
