Missing college teacher’s body found in Naogaon river

Police on Thursday recovered the body of a college teacher, who remained missing for five days, from Ghukshi River of Bara Chawkgopal area in Dhamrai Upazila, Naogaon.

The deceased was identified as MM Jamal Uddin, 48, a teacher of Jagadal Adibashi School and College and son of Kayem Uddin of Sahapur village of the upazila, according to UNB.

Locals found the body of the man floating in Ghukshi River around 11 am and informed police.

Officer-in-charge of Dhamrai Police Station Zakirul Islam said that the body bore no marks of wounds but its hands and legs were tied with rope.

The body was sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said.
