Local cautionary signal 3 for maritime ports

The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal No 3 as squally weather is likely to hit coastal Bangladesh, reports UNB.

A low pressure area has formed over Gangetic West Bengal, Northwest Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, the Met office said.

Under its influence, deep convection is taking place. Squally weather is likely to affect the maritime ports, the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, it said.

All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to proceed with caution until further notice.
