A woman was killed and another injured by a lightning strike at Beergor village in Haripur upazila of Thakurgaon on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nilufar Begum, 25, wife of Murtuza of the village, reports UNB.
Quoting family members, Amiruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Haripur Police Station, said the thunderbolt struck them while they were grazing cattle around 11:30am, leaving Nilufar dead on spot.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Dinajpur Medical College and Hospital for autopsy, the OC added.
