A young couple reportedly committed suicide following a family feud at Uttar Chandangati of Belkuchi upazila in Sirajganj on Tuesday night.
On information, police recovered the bodies of Nazmul, 22, son of Ershad Ali of the village and his wife Minu, 20, from inside their house around 11:00am Wednesday, said Anowarul Islam, officer-in-charge of Belkuchi Police Station.
Najmul and Minu had an altercation over family matter since Tuesday evening. Later, Nazmul went out of his house, said the OC quoting family members.
After returning home, Nazmul found his wife dead, presumably by taking poison, said the OC adding that Nazmul also committed suicide by hanging himself later in the night.
The bodies were sent to Sirajganj Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital to autopsy, the OC added.
A case of unnatural deaths was filed with the police station, said the police official, reports UNB.
