Five injured in tank lorry explosion in Kishoreganj

At least five people were injured on Saturday as an oil laden tank lorry exploded at Kuliarchar upazila in Kishoreganj district.

Four of the injured were identified as Salman, 12, son of Ratan Mia, Hakim, 27, son of Alam Mia, Naim, 18, son of Khokon Mia and Shafik, 26, son of Khorshed Alam.

Three among the injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, reports UNB.

Witnesses said a fuel oil laden tank lorry was sent to a workshop due to technical glitch at Agarpur Bus stand of the upazila.

The lorry exploded with wired sound around 10:00 am injuring five on the spot.

Officer-in-charge of Kuliarchar Police Station Abdul Hai Talukdar confirmed the matter.
