Female ‘drug peddler’ found dead in Korotoa River

Police recovered the body of a 'listed female drug trader' from the Korotoa River near Matidali area in Bogura town on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Rani Begum, 35, wife of Mukhter Hossain of Chaksutrapur area in the district town.

Officer-in-charge of Bogura Sadar Police Station Abul Kalam Azad said locals found the body floating of Rani under Kalibala Bailey Bridge in the river around 2:00pm and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital's morgue for autopsy, he added.

A unnatural death case was filed in this connection, reports UNB.
