A farmer succumbed to head injuries after falling off a tree at Tengrail village in Sharsha upazila of Jessore on Tuesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Abdus Salam (48), son of late Rupchan Morol of the village, reports UNB.
Deceased’s brother-in-law Abdul Khalil said Salam fell off a tree around 1:00 pm when he was getting down from it hurriedly noticing nest of wasps, a kind of bee, here, leaving him critically injured.
Later, locals rushed Salam to Jessore General Hospital where he succumbed to his head injuries around 6:30 pm, said Md Jahidul Islam, intern doctor of the hospital.
