Two people reportedly died of liquor overdose in Jashore and Jhenaidah districts.
The incidents took place amid the Durga Puja celebrations which killed Dipu Das, 30, from Jashore and Munna Das, 35, from Kaliganj upazila in Jhenaidah.
Munna fell sick after galloping excessive liquor on Thursday night.
He was first taken to Sadar Upazila Health Complex and then shifted to Sadar Hospital. Doctors pronounced him dead on Friday morning.
Dipu also took excessive liquor on Thursday night and fell sick.
He was taken to Jashore Sadar Hospital where he died at around 7:00 am, UNB reported.
Sub-inspector of Kotwali Police Station Shahidul Islam said the bodies were sent to morgue for autopsy.
