An electrician was killed after a grinding machine blasted at his rented residence in Jamgora area of Ashulia on Wednesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Salam alias Nayan, 25, supervisor of electricians at BUDS Group, a garment factory in Buribazar area of Ashulia, hailing from Singra upazila of Natore, a news agency reported.
Following the blast, locals rushed injured Salam to nearby Women and Child Health Centre where duty doctors declared him dead.
The man was killed in a blast caused by grinding machine, said Abdul Awal, the Officer-in-Charge of Ashulia Police Station.
On information, police rushed to the health centre and sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
