Ecological hearth reducing environment pollution in Bogra

Ecological hearth is reducing risk of alarming environment pollution in the district.

The hearth is made of cement and iron rod with assistance of foreign policy. It is playing a vital role to save wood as well as to keep environment danger free.

Housewife Mariyam Begum, 32, at Gunaher village under Dupchanchia upazila said she needs one-third of firewood she needed before forking cook food and emit less smoke.

“I was hesitant to use the hearth at first, but now I understand its benefits,” said Urmi Begum, 23, at Unchorki village under Gabtoly upazila.

“I urges all to use the hearth at every house to keep the environment pollution.” she added.
Beneficiary people of the region urge to the authority concern to supply them every household with cheap rate.
Deputy Director of environment Bhavan said if every household uses ecological hearth, it will save a huge firewood and will keep the environment pollution free, he added.
