Customs detains man with five gold bars in Benapole

Customs intelligence arrested a man along with five gold bars (Tk 115,000) from Benapole check post on Tuesday morning.

The detainee was identified as Masudur Rahman, 45, son of Abdul Khaleq, hailing from Cumilla district, UNB reports.

Nipun Chakma, assistant director of Benapole Customs, said that over suspicions, a team of customs intelligence searched Masudur's body and recovered the god bars weighing half kilogram worth Tk 115,000.
