A Chittagong University (CU) student has lost both of his legs while trying to board a shuttle train at Sholoshohor Railway Station in the port city on Wednesday morning.
The victim - Md Rabiul Alam - is a student of the Sociology department of the university, according to a news agency report.
The accident took place when Rabiul was trying to board the university shuttle train around 8:00am, that left both of his legs severed, said Sub-inspector Jahirul Islam, In-charge of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Police Outpost.
Rabiul was rushed to CMCH immediately in critical condition, he added.
