A goldsmith was found dead at Sahilpur on Cumilla-Sylhet highway in Brahmanbaria sadar upazila on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Samir Banik, 45.
Local people spotted the body and informed police who recovered the body around 11pm, said Ziaul Haq, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station.
UNB reported quoting police that Samir might have been killed by muggers.
