Cops recover three bodies in Bandarban

Police recovered the bodies of three suspected robbers from Naikhongchhari upazila of Bandarban district on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Anwar Hossain alias Anaia, 27, son of Abdus Sobhan of Chainga Bazar, Parvez Hossain Bappi, 23, son of Syed Hossain of Eidgar Kodalia Kata and Abdul Hamid, 23, of Gorjonia Borobil area.

They were accused in numerous cases, including that of robbery and abduction, filed with Naikhongchhari and Ramu police stations.

Habibur Rahman, in-charge of Baishari police camp, said locals spotted the bodies in Narisbunia PHP 11 No Bagan area of Baishari in the morning and informed police.

Later, police recovered the bodies, according to a UNB report.

According to Bandarban Superintendent of Police Zakir Hossain Majumder, the three were listed robbers of the districts and they suspect that the accused have been killed in a 'gunfight' between rival gangs of robbers over control in the area.
