Police arrested five outsides along with cannabis from the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) in Sylhet on Friday.
The arrestees are Soyab Ali, Milon Miah, Moinul Miah, Saleh Ahmed and Pollal Ahmed.
A team of proctorial body conducted drives in different areas of the campus from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and arrested 'marijuana trader' Soyab, leader of a gang who used to supply it in the campus, said Zahir Uddin, proctor of the university.
Acting on his information, police arrested four others along with 32 packets of cannabis, UNB reported.
The arrestees were then handed over to police.
