Bogra potato growers eye bumper yield

Potato growers of the district are expecting to get a bumper production this season.

The plants are growing well. Growers may start harvesting from February. The Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) provided all necessary support to produce quality potatoes.

Sub-assistance agriculture officer of DAE Faridur Rahman said a good potato production is expected from the district.

Potato is being sold at Tk 15 to Tk 20 per kg in the local market.

"I am growing potato on 50 decimals of land spending over Tk 12,000," said farmer Lokman Hossain of Adamdighi upazila.

"I am expecting a make to good profit this year", the grower added.
