BGB arrests 14 Bangladeshi nationals at Benapole

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) troopers arrested 14 Bangladeshis while entering the country illegally through Putkhali border at Charer Math on Monday.

Of the arrestees, six are women and two are children while the rest others are men, hailing from Narail, Bagerhat and Barishal districts.

Lieutenant Colonel Imran Ullah Sarkar, commanding officer of BGB-21 Battalion, said acting on a tip-off, a BGB team raided the area and arrested them while they were entering the country without valid travel documents.

The arrestees were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station.
