25 injured in Magura AL factional clash

At least 25 people were injured as two factions of Awami League engaged in a clash over trifling matter at Sankochkhali village in Sadar upazila on Saturday.

Sirajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Magura Sadar Police Station, said there had been a longstanding feud between followers of two local AL leaders Taibur Rahman and Pannu Biswas over establishing supremacy in the area, reports UNB.

On Saturday morning, two factions engaged in a conflict with sharp weapons over a trifling matter that left 25 injured, OC added.

On information, police rushed in the spot and brought the situation under control.

At least 15 of the injured were admitted to Magura Hospital, he added.
