A man, who had been reported missing since Monday, was found dead at Sormongla in Rajshahi’s Godagari upazila on Wednesday.
He was Jashim Uddin Joy, 20, a human hauler driver and son of Arkan Ali of Borobangram village in the city.
Jahangir Alam, officer-in-charge of Godagari Police Station, said Joy went to Damkura with passengers on Monday and since then he remained missing. His cell phone was also found switched off.
Later, Joy's maternal uncle lodged a general diary with Godagari Police Station, as per a UNB report.
Later police arrested Jashim and Sumon, who hired Joy's auto-rickshaw on that day for going to Damkura. The murder suspects are under interrogation.
Police recovered the throat-slit body of Joy on Wednesday night and suspected that the arrestees in guise of passengers killed Joy in a bid to snatch his auto-rickshaw.
