The body of a college student who went missing in the Padma River on Sunday was found floating at Charkhidirpur in Rajshahi town on Wednesday.
Farhad Hossain, senior station officer of Rajshahi Fire Service and Civil Defence, said the body of Asif Al Masud was found floating around 11:30 am, four kilometres away from Shimla where he went missing.
Shahadat Hossain, officer-in-charge of Motihar Police Station, said the body was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, reports UNB.
Earlier, Asif, a first-year student of Rajshahi Model School and College hailing from Naogaon, along with his five friends was visiting the Padma River by a boat on Sunday noon. The college boy accidentally fell in mid-Padma and went missing.
