An inspector of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) was killed in a road accident in Kaliganj upazila of Gazipur district on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Inspector Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, a resident of Araihazar upazila in Narayanganj district. He was posted in Gazipur, reports UNB.
Rupon Chandra, in-charge of Ulukhola Police camp, said the accident took place around 9:30pm when a motorbike carrying Mosharraf was hit by a covered van.
He was killed on the spot. The CID inspector was going to his village home.
