Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions and the regions of Satkhira, Jessore, Kushtia, Tangail, Madaripur and Gopalgonj.
Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to Monday morning and it is likely to continue at some places till noon while weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, it added.
Current cold wave condition may abate at some more places by Monday morning, according to BSS citing a met office release issued on Sunday morning.
Night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period.
Minimum temperature of the country was recorded 7.2 degree Celsius on Sunday at Jessore in Khulna and maximum temperature at 25.7 degrees Celsius at Cox's Bazar in Chittagong division on Saturday.
