Police and businessmen have clashed at a market in Gulistan’s Fulbaria as Dhaka South City Corporation or DSCC began a drive to oust 911 illegal shops.
The protesting traders of Fulbaria Super Market-2 began throwing bricks at a bulldozer of the DSCC as it was ripping through the shops around 1:30pm on Tuesday, reports bdnews24.com.
The police then appeared on the scene and tear-gassed the crowd to bring the situation under control.
Police said they restored calm to the area.
