Light rain has brought relief to the people of Dhaka city as temperature was gradually increasing with approaching hot weather.
"We recorded light rain with wind speed of 67 kilometres per hour in the capital on Friday afternoon," an official of Met Office said.
According to BSS, although it was light rain, city dwellers got a relief because of coolly weather is prevailing.
Rain and thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind are likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions on Saturday.
It may occur at one or two places over Khulna, Dhaka and Chittagong divisions with hails at isolated places also.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, according to a weather bulletin of Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
