Chief Justice pays tribute to Bangabandhu at Tungipara

Newly appointed Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his graveyard at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Friday.

The Chief Justice also offered fateha and took part in the special munajat seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of the Father of the Nation.

Wife of the CJ, acting registrar of the Supreme Court Md Jakir Hossain, High Court Division registrar Md Golam Rabbani, Chief Judicial Magistrate Begum Nilufar Shirin, Gopalgonj Deputy Commissioner Mokhlesur Rahman Sarkar, District Awami League President and also Zila Parishad chairman Chowdhury Emdadul Haque, Police Super Saydur Rahman Khan were, among others, present on the occasion.

The CJ, later, signed the visitors' book kept at Bangabandhu Bhaban at Tungipara, according to UNB.
