Local businessmen have protested against a mobile court drive and forced it to be stopped at Bakshibazar in Old Dhaka.

They did this at around 12:30 pm on the second day of the month-long drive.

While leaving the mobile court team, led by Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Chief Health Officer Brig Gen Sharif Ahmed said that they would discuss the issue with the mayor before taking any step.

Around two hours later, around 2:30 pm, DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon went to the scene.

On February 25, four days after the Chawkabazar fire that has so far claimed 71 lives, he had declared the drive.
