Charge sheet against three public servants gets ACC nod

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) approved two charge sheets on Monday against three government officials in connection with taking bribe and embezzlement of money of the government project.

ACC Deputy Director Rezaul Karim is serving as the investigation officer for both cases.

ACC Assistant Director Fazlul Bari filed a case against Narshingdhi district hospital's account officer Mohammad Ashraful Islam Pathan and a medical technologist on May 10 this year with Narshingdhi Model Thana as they were caught red-handed while allegedly taking Tk 100,000 as bribe money from a tender bidder.

Upazilla Project Officer Rafiul Karim of Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) filed a case on December 12in 2016 against the organiser of a project under BRDB, Abdul Kader, for embezzling over Tk 1.6 million (Tk 16.68 lakh) with the Belabo Model Thana, reports UNB.
