Close-circuit television cameras (CCTVs) will be installed at every highways and important roads for ensuring road safety.
State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Md Mashiur Rahman Ranga said it on Sunday.
Ranga said this while addressing a roundtable organised by Democracy International and Dhaka Tribune at FR Tower in the city's Panthapath, as per UNB report.
Four transport companies will be formed primarily to reform transport system and check drivers' reckless driving in the capital city as well, he said.
The state minister said the ruling government has implemented 'Safety Rapid Strategic Transport Plan-2015-2035' to build a planned and comprehensive transport system and started initiatives to produce 100,000 drivers under the project.
