An unnatural death suit has been filed over Monday’s incident of 10 persons dying in a stampede at the qulkhwani of former Chittagong city mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury.
Arun Das, brother of a victim Jhantu Das,lodged the unnatural death case with Chalkbazar Police Station on Monday night, said Nurul Husa, officer-in-charge of the police station.
Apart from this, the administration suspended the activities of the Rima Convention Centre in the city for investigation.
At least 10 people died and 50 others were injured in the stampede during the qulkhwani of ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury at the convention centre, as per report on UNB agency.
