Speakers at a discussion have called for the formulation of a law to protect agricultural land, ensuring food security for all.
Farm land grabbing has put the food security at risk, they said at a roundtable discussion, organised by the Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD), at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity in Dhaka city on Saturday.
The discussion focuses on upholding and protecting farmers’ rights.
Advocate Rafic Ahmed Siraji presented the keynote through a slide show.
Lawmaker Fazle Hossain Badsha, among others, attended the event as guest of honour, with Shamsul Huda, Executive Director of ALRD, in the chair.
