A man was killed and 25 others were injured as a passenger bus plunged into a ditch at Banasree on Rampura-Demra road in the capital on Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred at about 9:30am when the driver lost control over the steering of the bus at Shekherjaiga in Banosree area, Sub Inspector Jewel Miah of Khilgaon Police Station said.
The bus of Swadhin Paribahan was heading towards Staff Quarter of Demra to Rampura Bridges, he added.
At least one person was killed and 25 others were injured in the accident, he also said, adding that the bus was pulled out from the ditch and a body was found in the bus.
The injured was rushed to different local clinics for treatment while identity of the deceased could not be known immediately, reports BSS.
