BSTI mobile court fines four food shops in city

Three mobile courts of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) fined four food shops in the city Tk 75,000 for selling unhygienic iftar items on Friday, according to UNB.

The courts with the help of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted drives in six shops in Shantinagar and Bailey Road areas, said Engineer ANM Farhad Hossain, BSTI Field Officer.

Of them, one shop was fined Tk 40,000 for selling products without BSTI approval while three others were penalised for selling iftar items in an unhygienic environment, he said.
