Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) has kept its decision to realise toll from its two bridges including Bangabandhu Jamuna bridge suspended at an increased rate from Tuesday midnight.
The authority earlier on November 2 issued a circular to increase the tolls of Jamuna and Mukterpur bridges for all kinds of transports at a rate from 11 to 50 per cent. It later announced to make the order effective from 12:05 am Tuesday.
A BBA source confirmed the decision of suspension through phone saying the road transport and bridges minister asked to keep it suspended for time being.
