Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Sunday forecasted light to moderate rain, thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind for many places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, in the 24 hours commencing from 6:00 pm Monday.
The same was forecasted for a few places over Rangpur, Dhaka, Rajshahi, Barishal, Khulna and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country, said a regular bulletin.
The well-marked low over Madhya Pradesh and adjoining area weakened and merged with the monsoon axis, reports UNB citing the BMD.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across Northern part of Bangladesh, it added.
One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and weak over North Bay, bulletin said.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The sun rises at 5:40am in the capital on Monday.
