Bangladesh Manabadhikar Bastabayan Sangstha (BMBS) on Thursday demanded release of detained Vietnam returnee migrant workers and ensure their normal lives.

Terming such arrest human rights violation, BMBS said it is an indecent act because victims have been brought under legal action but swindler remains unpunished.

The BMBS thinks that the workers have been taken to jail to save a vested quarter. The rights organisation made its demand and observation through a press release.

It said some 106 workers went to Vietnam through completing all formal procedures under Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training. But they became the victim of human trafficking there.

After that they sought help at Bangladesh Embassy in Hanoi to get repatriate the workers.

But after reaching back and completing quarantine period, more than 80 workers were arrested by police.

The BMBS is providing legal assistance to the detained workers.
