General Secretary of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) Chattogram unit Dr Foisal Ikbal Chowdhury declared that the telemedicine service has been stopped in Chattogram from Thursday.
Mr Chowdhury said, "A total of 150 doctors have been providing telemedicine service in Chattogram. But, protesting the murder of Dr Rakib in Khulna, the doctors are not interested in providing the service. So, I have declared stoppage of telemedicine service in Chattogram from Thursday."
On the other hand, President of BMA Chattogram unit Dr Mujibul Haque said that he knew nothing about the closure of telemedicine service in Chattogram from Thursday.
