The fire on the seventh floor of the Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) office at Motijheel in Dhaka has been brought under control.
After two hours of frantic efforts, firefighters brought the blaze under control at 3:30 pm on Monday, Lima Khanam, a duty officer at the control room of Fire Service and Civil Defence, reports UNB.
The fire broke out at 1: 35 pm on the seventh floor of the seven-storey building, she said.
Thirteen units of firefighters are working to extinguish the fire, she added.
