Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel recovered ten firearms and 36 bullets from Bakherali bordering area in Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila on Friday, reports UNB.
Tipped off, a team of BGB-53 conducted a drive at Saddamer Char and challenged a boat carrying some people in the dead of night, said commanding officer of BGB-53 Lieutenant Colonel Sazzad Sarwar.
Later, they recovered ten firearms, including a pistol and a revolver, 36 bullets and ten magazines from the boat while the smugglers managed to flee the scene, he said at a press briefing.
